Its the fact that my main race this year is at the end of August.

A 100 today and next Sunday's club run (weather) permitting, then the 100 TT the following Sunday will make a big difference. I then have 320 mile ride home from Paris to

look forward to!! So would expect to be on target for Ironman Vichy

Christ, I hadn't even considered they would still be out on the road when I said that...12 hours is a long time!

Haven't seen the result yet but Joe won it with 271.2-good job we're his 2nd claim now or J-P would have lost his club record.Hard to see anyone beating him for the BAR?

Report from CTT site

The early "Usk Circuit" was compromised by roadworks springing up just after most riders had completed their first lap.  So everyone was diverted back to the earlier Hereford  leg for more miles before arriving at the usual finishing circuit.

Well done to the Organisers for coping with such "on the day" circumstances

Results will be delayed a few days because the numbers need re-crunching, but a few VERY Provisional results are as below -

    Rider                                      miles
1   Joseph Beech                              272
2   Gregory Woodford                     265
3   Gary Drew                             264
4   Leon Marshall                            260
5   Toby Hopper                            256
6   Gavin MacDougal                   254
7   Jim Scott                                    251
8   Richard Turpin                             250

Joe looked smooth as well as fast every time he lapped me.
But winners usually do look smooth and fast.

I think (and hope) I got to the magic 200 but that depends on the final calculations.
I learned a huge amount about bike prep, sustaining fluid and calories, mind games and not to turn up to an event like this with tennis elbow.
Oh, and not to wait until I'm on the wrong side of 60 to enter a 12.

I know that Mark M finished and did quite a few more miles than I did.
He actually looked as though he was enjoying himself.

Shame about Andy pulling stumps early but if I had to make that trip up to Hereford again, I would have joined him.
I don't think my mind games work that well.

2016?.......the jury is out!

Well done Steve, hope you make the 200 mark.

If not, you'll HAVE to go again in '16!
