5 of us out this morning-Jonathon,Pete,Carrie and I set out from B&Q meeting up with Marshall en route.Glorious day,sat in the courtyard at Café Velo soaking up the sun. It's days like this that cycling is made for!
I also counted us all out and back-no-one lost!
Planning to get out at some point on Friday, will post in a day or 2.

As promised here's my plan for tomorrow.Firstly the forecast worsens as the day goes on so probably better to go out in the morning.
Second, having done the mid-week route on Tuesday I thought we'd vary it a bit by heading north-the distance will be the same and there will be a coffee stop!
I plan to be at B&Q at 9.45 as normal.Normal route then through Troes,Llangan,Craig Penlline(where Carrie will join us about 10)Aberthin(where Carrie will join us about 10.20 if plan A above doesn't work for her.)
At the Aberthin junction we will turn left on the lane(not the Pontyclun road)heading up towards Llanhari and eventually looping round for a coffee stop at Llanerch Vineyard.
I hope this is ok for Paul&Jonathon who hope to be out and for anyone else who's free.Quite a few options of where to link up-if you plan to be out but want to meet en route post here and we'll wait if need be.Let's hope for one more warm sunny ride before the weather changes!

Hi Paul-if you go to the junction just above Aberthin where we met a couple of weeks ago we should be there about 10.20.If you want to keep riding head through the lanes to City/Craig Penlline as we'll be coming the opposite way.Any problems my mobile is 07747 868239.See you tomorrow

I thought perhaps the drizzle which started about 9.30 might put people off a ride this morning but I underestimated the hardiness of the mid-week group!4 of us left B&Q-Steve C(first there-a first in itself I think!)Jonathon and Clayton(The Machine)making his mid-week debut. As planned we met Carrie at Craig Penlline and Paul at Aberthin then rode along the lane to Llanhari,Talbot Green(having to wait twice for the level crossing!),Fire Station Hill, back toward Llantrisant, over the Common and through Miskin for a coffee stop at Llanerch Vineyard-highly recommended. We then wended our way through the Golf Course and up to Welsh St Donats and through the lanes home.
Not sure of the mileage but the weather cleared up and all of us enjoyed a slightly hillier but very sociable morning.

Thoroughly enjoyable ride today with great company, maybe one ride too many for me this week as the little legs felt the hills!!!

Wish I hadn't dressed up for the rain or taken the winter bike, that's my excuse anyways 😓

Thanks Tom, Carrie, John, Clayton and Steve for waiting at the top of the slopes for me, I now know not to go out for a ride the night before Friday Club!!!
