Not sure if anyone is in the market to try rollers this winter but these look ok and are on offer.

I saw that, looks a good offer.

I have found a carbon rear disc wheel made in UK for just over 400. Limited availability so I won't reveal details until secured mine. But anyone else interested give me a shout. Its a bit heavier than what I set out to get at 1350g but then the clinchers seem to be heavier in general. Bit of a risk but I cannot afford the cost of the mainstream ones at 700 plus and wanting a clincher reduces my options significantly too. Hopefully if I don't get on with it I'll be able to sell it for not much less as 2nd hand disc wheels seem to be going for not much less than new ones. Anyone know if you can get brake blocks that are ok with both carbon and alloy rims? This one has carbon rims but the wheel I would use on more sporting courses has alloy rims!

I don't think its recommended to use same blocks, 'apparently' if you get any alloy debris left on the blocks it could shred the carbon brake surface.

Just change them over?
Are there still rollers to try on a Friday?
I'm tempted to buy some but don't want to find I can't ride on them. My garage is about the only place I haven't crashed this year. Yet...

Sure not a big job between rides. But all these little jobs add up. You are talking to someone that has 3 Garmin mounts here...interchangability is everything to me! Like to think its about being efficient with time rather than lazy!

Hi Chris, if you can get to the club a week on Friday I'll bring some rollers down and get you going on them. Like most things it's easy once you've had a couple of pointers.
