Olly is back folks, to pick up where he left you last time - deep in thought about what your approach to food and cycle training and racing should be.

Now is the time to be thinking about what your winter will look like if you intend to get in shape for 2015

He has chosen this time to be specific about the following topics;

Carb Loading

Fuelling for Longer Rides

Metabolism of Fat in Endurance Events and

Effective Hydration to prevent cramping and dehydration

It will be part talk and part Q & A on each subject.

This presentation is free to members and we look forward to a similar great turnout to the last time he came. As a reminder, Norman, Lynne and Mark Nott have all benefitted from Ollies advice. Mark Nott is now one of our best riders and has turned big strongman into strongman - with corresponding results.

The presentation starts at 8.30 but get there for 8.00 to get your tea and biscuits and settle down. See you there.

Olly has e-mailed to say he hopes to get on this forum to ask if there are any questions people want to ask him either on the yopics above or new subjects. He will try to answer some of the questions before the 10th and the remainder on the night itself.

This is an opportunity for anyone who cannot get to the club house to get an answer so - fire away and hope that Olly can get connected.

Tim's post covers a lot of what I'd be interested in, possibly add in 'recovery' nutrition.

What are the benefits of real protein vs powders or shakes, in the recovery period?
