BBC Weather forecast was spot on, two minutes after the turn the head wind picked up then it started to rain a lot! Awful conditions for five minutes then it eased off again, that's my excuse this week!

Thanks. Surprised myself a bit. First PB for me at any distance since 2012. Strangely conditions were very similar to my previous PB on this course 2 years back of 8 seconds slower! Like then my ride Sunday was based not on good conditions or especially good form, but more on GRIM DETERMINATION.
