Just for a change I thought we could have a party to celebrate Froomy winning for a second time and the third time a Brit has won it.

 I think this will be either;

Friday 1st August to give the lucky Paris people to get back home with their souvenirs after the finish of the Tour on Sunday 27th July or

at 6.00pm in The Star in Treoes on Sunday July 27th so we can watch the finish on the Champs-Elysees together on telly with a pint. The finish is estimated to be at 7.11pm. Come in by bike if you like, Mark the landlord will give you somewhere to park and, if you want, I can arrange sandwiches. Bring the family too, there is a large garden and car park. You know, this could be the best idea I have ever had !

Assuming we are bringing French type food and drink to club this Friday.
And for those who are more adventurous, I guess there is some dressing up to be done

For the avoidance of doubt - it's at the clubroom.  Tim has also asked me to produce a TDF quiz- which I have done!

Tim will post - but the Tour evening at the club this Friday will not be going ahead.
There are too many lucky people out there taking holidays

Nothing to celebrate folks ! ! !

As far as British interest is concerned at least. Although it was a great Tour.

A lot of people are on holiday, including the usual stalwarts. These events need a bit of a fizz and it (and they) will not be there on this occasion.

There WILL BE the usual Club Night however. See you at 8.0 ?

Stevens TdF Quiz will be used at the Party to welcome the Vuelta later in August when there will be British interest again, perhaps even Froomy will be fit. So don't put away those Cycling Weekly summaries of The Tour just yet, you will need them to revise. There will be a prize for the first team (teams of two people), so choose your partners, preferably those with a long memory.

The Vuelta Party will be Spanish themed (please do not all pretend to be Miguel Indurain) with food and drink to match. As usual, prizes for best dressed man and woman so get out the Flamenco kit.
