Good turnout tonight, dry and cold weather with  a strong wind down the dual.  It's always the tailwind leg thats the killer and it became a war of attrition, with riders dropped on every lap. Short 52 for me, despite 2 laps on my own...

Tough night ! Racing winning break went on lap 4 and worked well together to record a '48'

I'll try and post my stats if I can. Possibly my most brutal chain gang ever, 4+ laps in zone 5, running about 177-183 for 25 - 30 minutes (my max HR is 191).

That's about where it should be Chris, you're riding at your threshold.  You should aim for the same ave HR in the midweek 10 (177-183). Spend the 1st 5 miles below it and the 2nd 5 miles above it, with actual HR increasing all the while. Try to finish on 191bpm and you'll have done about the best you are capable of on any given day.
