Hi Richard, I’m new to the group and just wondering what sort of pace this runs at? Is there just the one group ride at the moment ? Thanks Richard

We tend to have mixed group rides this time of year, chasers and the faster pacers. It is a relatively flat route Sunday so I’m thinking 17/18 mph average, or maybe a little slower, 16/17. We leave from the Triangle at 9am prompt so try and get there 5/10 mins before. Hope to see you out with us on Sunday.

Andy generally leads another  ride a bit slower and shorter but still well worth doing!

I will be out Sunday for a slower paced ride, 13-15mph and around 30 miles.

Good turn out for another mixed ride this morning with 11 of us setting out from the start. Me, Rich L, Chris, Mark, Rob, Paul R, Nigel, Tim, Scott, good to see Tom back, and a special appearance from Paul Nicholas. Followed the route as planned into blustery conditions on the way out. A mechanical for Scott on the approach to Porthcawl led to an early finish for Scott and a call to Mrs Jones for roadside assistance. And Mark then left us for home at Margam, planned. Strong turn on the front from Nigel and Rob along Harbour way into a strong head. And on to Neath and Skewen followed by the enjoyable ride from Llansamlet over Winch Wen to the Marina for the coffee stop. The weather was surprisingly mild today which allowed us to sit outside for our coffee and cake. And then the ride for home. Chris kept a sensible pace along Fabian Way before Rob and Paul N pushed to the front along Afan Way and Harbour way and the pace picked up. I hung on until the end of Harbour Way and then rode in with Rich L. Another enjoyable ride, thanks all, see you all again next week.

You forgot to mention your passable Julian Alaphillipe impressions round Skewen.
