Club hill climb
« on: September 13, 2023, 02:16:17 PM »
Hi
There’s a club hillclimb on Sunday 15th October 10:00 at Llangeinor.
£3 fee to cover the CTT levy and sign on by 09:50.
This will require the input of at least three individuals to go ahead - a start time keeper, someone to hold up the competitors and a finish time keeper. I’m happy to start or finish, would interested individuals let me know.
For those who’d like a bit of a warmup, the WCA hillclimb is the week before on the Tumble near Abergavenny.

I'm away that weekend on the trip to Altea. 6 riders going Nige, Tony, Terry, Lee, Stephen and myself.

At last, after a morning of sport on a beautiful autumnal day, here’s the run down (as it was a hill climb, should that be run up?) for the eight competitors.

Rob C 4:30
Ross W 4:43
Chris G 4:48
Mark B 5:08
Mark R 5:23
Tim A 5:44
Mick L 6:08
Rich L 6:42

Everybody’s appreciation must go to Andy H and Richard B who crewed the start and mine goes to Paul L who kept me company at the finish.
My apologies for the delay in posting, I’ve been in Carmarthenshire helping out my daughter and her husband with a DIY SOS. How is it that kids buy their own houses but never actually seem to leave home?

Thanks Steve, and to your band of merry helpers. I certainly did not enjoy it but that is another first for me. Things can only get better?

Big thanks Steve, Andy, Rich, and Paul. Anyone can ride up a hill but the volunteers for these events make the club. Well I think so anyway.
