Sunday Social Sunday 30th October (Remember the clocks change)
« on: October 26, 2022, 09:56:17 AM »
I'll be out to lead the Social group ride this Sunday.

Around 40 miles at a pace to suit the whole group, all welcome. New riders, old riders returning, regulars, men, women and children (If accompanied by an adult  :) )
We try and ride together in a group, as much as possible but allow for a natural drift in pace when we go uphill

I will post a route before the weekend

Don't forget the clocks go back!!

Was hoping to join but my arm got infected after last week and the antibiotics are making me feel awful! Will definitely be on the next one (weather permitting)

After the deluge I encountered on the way over to Brackla was genuinely suprised to see any riders there. As it turned out there were 9 in total and two groups set off, in a break between rain showers.
The Pacers and a Social-chasers group consisting of Scott, Mark B, Mark J and myself. We planned to ride the route as posted but failed miserably as I had two different route in my head and ignored the turn notifications on Garmin.  :-[
The early part of the ride was a case of 'jackets on/jackets off' as we dodged the showers. On approach to Cafe Velo the clouds were more threatening and we got to coffee stop just in time, as the heaven opened with a vengeance!!
I headed home from Llanwit and mostly avoided the rain for the rest of the ride.
Enjoyed the spontaneity of almost following the route and happy that nobody drowned.  ;D

Hope your arm heals Tammy and see you next week
