Sunday Social 25th September

[Andy H]

I'll be out and will post a route later in the week

Usual form, 40 miles or so and compulsory coffee stop.

All welcome and riding at the pace of the slowest rider.

Route for this Sunday:- https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/130814355

Coffee stop in Cafe Velo unless Chris G is out and can guide us to Acorn Campsite cafe!

[xrayspecs]

I'll have a go, how difficult can it be.

Cold, sunny start this morning, Tammy, Steve G and myself out. Set off at brisk pace through Pencoed and Llanharan, where we persuaded a rider to join us. Martin, (who lives in Treoes, sorry didn't get surname, knows Steven and Paul R). He was planning to ride a similar route to us and was glad of the company!
Rode the route pretty much as planned with coffee stop in Cafe Velo. Leaving Rhoose spotted rider who looked like Paul L. and in fact turned out to be Paul, who had slept in and caught up with us 'en route'
Took in a couple of new lanes through Llampha and Castle upon Alun to bring us out in St Brides and the road home to Bridgend.
40 miles at a shade over 15mph and 2350ft climbing.
Hope to see Martin out with the group again

Saw you in the queue at Ewenny r’bout - we were three cars behind.  But you shot off in a different direction so didn’t get the chance to beep.

[Andy H]

Probably would have been sworn at, if you did beep!!
