They're 40mm tyres, you're not towing a lawn mower!  ;D

See you there.

4 out yesterday – Nige, Rob C, Mark R and myself. Nice day for some gravel, weather stayed dry and wasn’t too cold. We followed the planned route apart from the small detour to Glyncorrwg café due to Afan being closed (until further notice).

Quite an eventful ride, Rob had problems with his rear mech not taking up the chain slack so ended up riding uphill in a small ring at a very fast pace! Nige had a slow puncture, eventually topped up wheel with a new bottle of sealant and all okay.

Mark needed to be in Maesteg for 1 pm so he missed the small detour and the well-deserved coffee stop at Glyncorrwg. Cakes looked nice but I opted for the white toast. The slice of toast was probably the biggest I’ve ever seen, I’m sure it was at least 2 inches thick  :D

We headed home through Croeserw and into the forest, dropping down into Blaengarw where Rob showed us some single-track riding skills on the ‘Blue Descent’.

Unfortunately, Nige lost his prescription riding glasses somewhere between the climb out of Croeserw and home.
