Cardiff 100 miles 10
« on: December 23, 2021, 08:49:39 PM »
Hi, all - anybody entering the New Year's day 10?

Personally I'd like to participate simply to support the event despite not being race-fit, but it would be nice to have an Oggie team presence, public health situation notwithstanding.

Meanwhile, Merry and safe Christmas to all members and their families. Cheers.

Hi Geoff, happy Christmas to you too. I’ve entered & will be there unless it’s pouring down. Hopefully see you then.

In the road bike event there are three riders, all OVW. Looks like we will fill the podium on the first event of the year!!

Have any Oggies entered the TT bike category? If so, perhaps we could do the double!

Unfortunately I've had to withdraw due to circumstances beyond my control, and have notified Bob Jones.

Meanwhile Steve Curry is on the Men's event start-list, so good luck to all participants in what has become one of my favourite events.

Happy New Year.

Sorry, not been paying attention here..noticed four Oggies entered but the revised start sheet this am showed only me left however, LFT this am revealed I'm still positive so I withdrew. 4 x OVW DNS, I guess? Hopeful that I'll see many more of you on start (and results) sheets this season. Happy New Year (despite the inauspicious start ;) )

We 3 (Steven, Mark B and myself) were in the road bike event, which had a separate start list on the web. Indeed we WERE the road bike event - we all finished and therefore took all 3 steps on the podium (had there been one), and Steven has a photo to prove it. Times etc to follow.

Sorry to hear you are (still) unwell, and hope you are coping OK.

Full list of events has yet to be published, but should be something for everyone - National 12 anyone?

We are still racers. Cheers.

Excellent! Great start for some and more TT's will feature road bike sections this year, I think. Await the listings but National 12-hour unlikely for me this year, Geoff - barely make 2 hours these days!

Results are in:

Oggie 1,2,3 in the road-bike event, 1st. Mark B (25.55), 2nd. Steven M (27.45), 3rd. Myself (32.24 - room for improvement there).

Dry, mild afternoon, and not so windy as of late.

Not a bad start to the year, so here's to continued success in the 2022 season. We are racers, cheers.
