9 chasers set out on Sunday morning, me, Rich L, Karl, Mark, Andy, Paul L, Paul N and good to see Terry and Tony out with us. It was a mixed group and broke up very early in the ride. The majority of the ride from Coity up to the top of the Bwlch was in two groups, one of 4 and one of 5. From there Andy and Paul L headed down the valley towards Tonypndy and home and the rest of us headed up the valley and on to the Rhigos. From there across to Hirwaun and Aberdare and the coffee stop in Bradley’s. We then chainganged on the next leg of the ride down to Pontypridd. We had a lengthy puncture repair en route after I hit a pot hole very hard, the force of the impact damaging the rear rim and also causing the handlebars to turn where they join the stem, not good when you are tubeless. The pace picked up then for a while which left me hanging off the back. Paul pressed on ahead from Church village leaving the rest of us to ride the final leg home. Social ride for me next week especially if there are pacers dropping down for a mixed pacers-chasers ride, I’l leave it to someone else to post a route.
