Virtual Club 10, 16 July

Looking at bit breezy with a 15mph westerly but otherwise quite a nice day. I’ll be putting an effort in over the TT course at some stage during the day. Anyone else going to have a go. I’ll post the result in the form of the Strava day list tomorrow evening.

I'm going to wait and do one on Friday morning...hoping for slightly better wind conditions and also give me an extra day to recover from a big ride last Friday.

Good luck to those giving it a go,

Ride Safe,

Neil

Just a few efforts today. Well done to Steve who had a solid ride with a brisk westerly making the return particularly tough.

Hi, had a bit of a go myself yesterday afternoon. I don't have Strava so was self-timed on my cycle computer for a 29-15 on my regular road bike, but confess to doing the course in reverse, so I hope that still counts.

I'm looking forward to returning to the real thing, but hoping the new Toucan (?) crossing in Wick won't prove to be a problem.

Some good rides yesterday; awaiting Neil's result later today.  Cheers all.

Hi Geoff, good to see you back “racing” (it’s strange times!). Interesting that you did it in reverse. How did your time compare to your normal times?

I’ll probably be giving it a miss this week. A 16mph westerly forecast and I’d still mentally scared after the battle into the headwind last week! 😉

If anyone does do it, would they like to upload the results from Strava to this forum?

Thanks, Mark.

As I live in Llantwit and due to limited time availability (only had 40 mins to spare), it made sense to go with a foot-down start from the by-pass r-a-b to turn at the regular start to finish at the same point as I started.

My best time last season was 26.10, averaging 27/28 min, but very much out of practice this season obviously.

Hoping for better times to come and a return to normal club activities. Cheers.
