Rode a bit harder than usual to keep up with the early speed of the Pacers but soon saw the error of our ways and were glad when they turned off at Llantrisant.
Continued on to Pontypridd and the Rhondda valley, up to Tylorstown and the climb over Penrhys. We had kept a good tempo to this point but that all changed on the climb! Not a long climb but a good challenge as the gradient never lets up. Decided to skip the coffee shop, as it was a short ride and headed for home.
A couple of 'draggy' climbs up to Penygraig, Penrhiwfer, Glynogwr and over the Common.
Cold, grey, wet and generally miserable BUT as Richard L commented 'great fun'!
