« on: August 29, 2019, 02:35:22 PM »
Weather forecast looks promising, look to the hills again this Sunday.

I'll post a route this evening.

It's the five valleys this weekend Andy. Just as a heads up.

Thanks Ben, I don't know the route but we'll just have to be aware of others on the road.

Suggestion is:-

A truncated version of the Pacers route, 'as it happens'! Coffee in Neath

Eight riders out today, cool start but soon warmed up.
Riding were:-
TS Steve
Karl
Lee
Ade
Roy
Paul L
New rider Caer
and me.
Rode the route as planned, with Karl and Steve doing a lot of work on the outward leg, into the wind. Through Harbour Way the group shared the work with some 'through and off' which was scrappy at times but improved as we went along.
Steve turned off after Neath to backtrack over Cimla. The rest of us continued on the climb up to Seven Sisters and Onllyn. Lee, Ade, Roy and Karl forged ahead while Paul, Caer and me 'paced' ourselves. Quick descent to Glynneath where the ride broke up a bit until we regrouped for coffee in Neath, except Roy who had to make his way home. Steady ride home with a tailwind, with Ade and Paul breaking off at Pyle.
Well done to Caer for 'sticking' it out and good to see Paul out with the Chasers.
