Pacers 4, Chasers 2
« on: June 23, 2019, 01:13:25 PM »
Lower numbers at Brackla today due to some riders refusing to ride on the Sabbath. We decided on a joint Pacers/Chasers ride and those out were; Mark, Steve, Reece, Nigel, Karl and I. Nigel had a mechanical problem so went home for a bike change so we decided to go to Cardiff Bay to get a tailwind home. We had not realised there was a triathlon taking place so made some changes to avoid the road closures. We went to Coffee and Co (the one made out of shipping containers) and those choosing the currant buns felt that they were a little past their best!
Up the hill into Penarth, then Sully, Roose and Llantwit. It was here where the class and strength in depth of the Pacers started to show. Karl and I felt like two Championship teams being promoted to the Premiership and had no response to Chapman on the climbs and Rosser on the flat. I think that we will both be relegated back to the Chasers for the rest of the season but thanks for a great ride!

The headstock bearing found to be a little loose and the lower set looks past best. Time for bearing replacement. Thanks for the ride today and due to my op on Saturday I will sadly be away from club rides for a few weeks just zwift for me for a bit.

Sounds like you need a new bike 😬
