Good turn out today. Unable to tempt any of the Pacers or Chasers. To make sure we avoided the forecasted rain we decided on St Fagans.
9 started out from Brackla. Myself, Geoff and Paul E rode over from Llantwit. Nick and Carrie H, Jo P, Bev and Rhonda and Hannah. So off we pootled following the Tuesday route. Paul was short on time so went back home via Cowbridge.
At the top of Watery Lane we took the road towards the Vale Hotel but carried straight on towards Tredodridge. From there we followed the route over the railway line and up the short sharp hill. There was some debate on the occupation of one of the homes at the top. Then on to St Fagans where I tried to tempt the Amblers into having a go at Drope hill. It was decided against due to the traffic lights at Five mile lane being a bit hit and miss. Nothing at all to do with the 16% loose road climb

We did get seperated at Peterston-Super-Ely. Bev and Rhonda got stuck behind a row of traffic and followed the same route back as we had come. Although that was partly my fault for saying we'll go back a similar way to how we went to St Fagans. I went back and caught them up again then we met up with Nick, Carrie and Geoff near to Warren Mill farm. Jo had gone home as she was running late. As we headed towards Welsh St Donats it started to pick a little. So Geoff and me followed the rest of the Tuesday route back to Llantwit while Nick, Carrie, Bev and Rhonda carried on home.
As me and Geoff got through Llanmaes we met Jo coming the other way. She had gotten lost after heading through Llancarfan. So we pointed her in the right direction home. Unfortunately she got Larrupped on but seemed to have enjoyed the ride.
It was a nice social ride. No competitiveness a couple of occasions where legs could be stretched and Heart Rates increased. But everyone stayed together except for the one occasion. After a week of sprinting to and from work it was nice to be ticking over and counting off the miles.
