Amblers ride 16th June
« on: June 11, 2019, 07:00:12 AM »
I'll be out this Sunday barring any larrupings from the weather.
I'll post a route later this week avoiding the Bwlch as it's the Alpe de Bwlch sportif this weekend.

Weather is looking a little changeable. I think we stay low to avoid the rain. Maybe ride to Barry Island for a Coffee at Marco's.

Ben, will the ferries still be running over to the Island if the weather is bad? I will turn up with my rubber ring.

Nice lumpy ride today. 6 left Brackla heading for Barrybados. Myself, Ron, Nick H, Ade Martin and Hannah. We went via Ewenny and up post office hill. Then Colwinston, Llysworny and round the back of Cowbridge into Llanblethian. From there is was past Happy Jakes through St Athan and on to Rhoose for Coffee at Porthkerry park. Ron and Ade left us at Green Dragon lane to make their own way back home.  It attempted to Larrup on us at Porthkerry. But the 4 of us bravely continued through to Gileston and back through St Athan and we split at Llanmaes where Hannah and Nick carried on back home. Was a great ride not too wet and not too warm either. But I'm looking forward to warm days and dry roads.
