Hi Chris

The Club 10s are a good starting point as I said the other night friendly rivalry over a challenging course. As it is the same course week in week out it will give you a good opportunity to measure improvement (though the weather on the club 10 course can have a significant bearing on times from one week to the next).
If you wanted to go quick as a baseline there are a couple of quick and flat TT courses in the area.

As Andy mentioned the Celtic series is also a good intro to TTs

Thinking of having a go at a TT,look at the event calendar, mostly 25's in the next month, just enter a few, don't forget to enter the Welsh champs events, enter well in advance. When the weather picks up and the nights are longer other local teams will start holding mid week events. These are enter on the night, some are longer distances, plus we have our own event at St Brides starting in May, nice flat course with no wind, but as with all TT courses its the same for everyone
