Only five of us out today:
Chris Goodwin
Mark Rosser
Paul Rosser
Steve Chapman
Myself
Nice tailwind to Church Village then things got a bit tougher as we headed for Pontypridd. We tried hiding from the strong Westerly by going on the Old Road through Abercynon and Mountain Ash. We were spurred on by a large group of 20+ cyclists in front of us, when we finally caught them it was the youngsters from Maindy Flyers who were all gong really well. Tough going then through Abardare where the wind was taking its tole, so short turns in order as we headed for MacDonalds and a weclome coffee. Then on to Neath in search of the welcome tailwind home. The usual increase in pace from there and was home in no time!
Enjoyable ride in not the best conditions 8)
