Picked a good route today for the weather, out today were:
Gregg
Paul
Nigel
Chappers
Steven
Dave
Mark
Myself
Set off through coity and onto the first climb which starts opposite the Cattery on the Bryncethin-Heolycyw road. Ive done this a couple of times on the gravel bike and thought the surface was ok so why not give it go,better than the main road from Bryncethin to Blackmill. Up Harpos Humps to gilfach and then onto new roads as we reached Tonyrefail, luckly the surfaces were really good and headed onto Penycoedcae road and the grind upto Pontypridd.  Then some nice flat roads to StFagans and on to Gwern-y-Steeple for the welcome tailwind to Cafe Velo, full gas of course  8). Nice coffee stop then homeward bound through the lanes and coast. Marks chain came off by Macross but was lucky it was just a loose link so we were back up on the move again in no time
Good route today!
