I'm not around this weekend, Rich B has volunteered to post a route.

See you the week after!

Weather looking good for Sunday but colder and with a fairly brisk easterly so we'll stay low and head out east.

Bridgend - Pencoed - Brynna - Talbot Green - Llantrisant - Beddau - Creigau - St Fagans - Culverhouse Cross - St Lythans - Dyffryn - Bonvilston - Llantrithyd - Flemingstone - St Athan - Llantwit Major - Marcross - St Brides Major - Southerndown - Ogmore - Home. In Beddau we'll take the left off the roundabout after the park to drop down onto Crown Hill and then over the roundabout on the A473 to Creigau. This avoids joining the A473 on the previous roundabout and the busy downhill stretch.

Total distance 80.9km, coffee stop at Dyffryn Gardens which is roughly halfway.

11 of us out this morning in total, 8 left from Brackla
Me
Chris G
Terry
Tony
Lee Stoneham
Steve Curry
Mark Pope
Adrian
joined very briefly by Will John in Coychurch and then Neil and Dan the other side of Pencoed.
Followed the route as planned all having to work hard into the cold easterly at times. The route worked well from Beddau onto the A473 and Creigau, a couple of stretches of road I've not been on before. We split at Culverhouse, some heading through St Lythans and some on the A48 and the race to be first in the queue for the coffee stop. Usual enjoyable stop at Duffryn Gardens. Chris headed for home having been treated to coffee and cake.
Terry Beech than decided to change the route home, and coming off the A48 after Bonvilston we stayed on Green Dragon Road all the way to the Barry Road, round the back of St Athan, and Llantwit Major and the lanes back on to the Wick Road. We had earlier lost Adrian and from here Steve made for home. Neil and Dan headed for home up Death Valley and the rest of us followed the Coast home with strong turns on the front from Terry and strong riding from Mark.
Another enjoyable morning out on the bike. Thanks all.
