Harpo's birthday ride
« on: September 23, 2018, 08:37:31 PM »
So I get a text to be one hour early at Brackla and Greg and Harpo and I head off to Broadlands to get Reece out of bed! There was a clothing contrast from Harpo fully covered in waterproof and windproof kit via Greg and I to Reece in shorts and short sleeves.  We decided to let Harpo be first up all the hills as it was his birthday!  Off to Neath and down the hilly east side route via Tonna to Glynneath. Harpo was in his element here and we sat back discussing if he was a dog what breed he would be!

Coffee and muffins in McDonalds and then straight up the climb to Seven Sisters whilst trying to keep the coffee down. Got overtaken by a bloke who was showing us no respect so a chase ensued until we caught him. Screaming tailwind back from Neath with loads of PB's and a tidy average speed of 18.5mph for 73 miles. Big it up for Greg who was struggling with a bad back throughout.
