Chasers Club Run, Sunday 29th April

Route for this Sunday

https://www.strava.com/routes/12884035

Weather isn't looking too bad so happy for someone else to create a route if the masses want something a bit different, possibly climby? Ben mentioned about doing a Chasers / Amblers combined ride? If nobody pipes up we'll be doing the route above.

See you Sunday, kindest regards, Nick

That looks a good route Nick. Looking at the segments I think you're going anti-clockwise and coming through Llantwit(via the main road-Wick and up Green Dragon Lane?If so I'll meet you somewhere en route(really this week Andy)

That's correct Tom, see you en route....definitely, maybe. Rich, if we average about 21mph we should be back in time for you 😉

Doesn't your route have us going over the Ridgeway not the Wick Road?

Thanks Richard, unfortunately I've obviously not got the right software for this map and although I can expand it I can't move it about so can't see the crucial section! Not to worry though-it looks like you're going to Costa so if I miss you I'll head there for aboyt 10.30

Hung about Llantwit roundabout for 10 minutes then decided to ride what I understood to be the course slowly expecting to be caught.Went to Costa but no Oggies reported so rode through Pontyclun across to Llanharan and Pencoed then turned up towards Pentre Meyrick-saw loads of cyclists but no OVW!! I'll get this right one Sunday but not next week as I have a date with destiny at the Cardiff City Stadium.Hope everyone else had a good ride!

9 of us out today...

Me
Terry
Tony
Rich L
Rich B
Hannah
John
Geoff
Carl
and not Tom

Headed passed Fords then turned back on ourselves through Corntown and up Post Office Hill. Across the vale and over the main road to Siginstone and to Llanmaes. Hung a left at the bottom then down to St Athan where Mr B headed off to tackle Green Dragon Lane by himself! Spin round the airport then up Green Dragon Lane ourselves and on to Costa at Cowbridge for coffee. Hannah's personal team car picked her up at this point and the remainder headed up to Leekes and home via Llanharan.

Andy isn't around next week either so if someone would like to pick their own route please post before Thursday. Tom was MIA again, although it seems like he may have visited everywhere we did today 😬

Cheers all

Ha-yes Nick as you'll have seen I tried to find you. I see now you've posted the route that I wouldn't have seen you at the roundabout-Wick road-if I'd waited all day as you didn't come that way!
Trouble is as posted above I can only view the map in tiny form and couldn't be sure which roads you were taking.May be worth just a brief description of route for non-IT wizards like me!
