Roller Derby competition Friday 9th March
« on: February 21, 2018, 10:24:46 PM »
The rollers have had new bands fitted and are 'up and running'.

Mark Rosser will be defending his title on Friday 9th March. Don't let him have it easy. come along and have a go, the more the merrier.
You don't even need to be experienced, you can have 'helpers' to steady you, while you ride although I suggest it's worth having a go beforehand.
To that end we will be having a practice night, the week before, on Friday 2nd March.

This is a bit of fun and needs you as club members to come along and have a go and lend your support. Remember it's not all about the winning, taking part is what counts!!

If anybody wants to ride the rollers this Friday then we can get them out but we are a bit limited for space due to the book sale.

Due to the poor weather there won't be a club night tonight, so no roller practice unless you do it at home!

Reminder that the roller derby competition is this Friday.
The format is:-
Individual time trial to establish seeding.
Knockout competition head to head with a single ride until the final which is best of three.
There is a limit to the size of gear you can use and this will be measured on the night

Please come along and enter, the only experience you need is the ability to ride a bike, helpers can be used to ‘keep you upright’!
Plan to start ASAP after 8:00pm depending on how long it takes to set up..
