Club Auction 1st December
« on: November 07, 2017, 05:06:14 PM »
This year's club auction will take place on 1st December.  This is an opportunity to have a clear out and turn all that stuff in your garage in to money and then have the excitement of taking home even more than you came with.  Andy H has kindly vollenteered to be auctioneer.  More details to follow nearer the time but in the mean time, start collecting all those items you took home last year.  For the benefit of new members, this is an exciting fun evening, not to be missed.

This is a copy post from last year's auction but pretty much the same thing this year, apart from the date!
We will sell anything from part worn tyres to full bikes, if you want to get rid of it this is your chance.

This is the event you have all waited all year for.
A chance to recycle your unwanted cycle bits and buy the stuff you really want at (hopefully) bargain prices. It is also a chance for the Club to make a 10% commission to add to club funds !
If you have stuff to sell which is bike related, including books, CD's, clothing (where are those red shorts ?), wheels, whole bikes, children's bikes, new stuff that you have never fitted, unwanted presents, photos and prints, posters etc. bring them along at 7.00 pm and list them for Auctioneer and club captain Andy Harris to put to the floor in an attempt to get some competitive bidding going.
Fix a reserve if you want
Give him a description of your items
Hope !
If you think you may want to purchase, viewing will start at 7.30pm and the Auction will start at 8.00pm
You will need a bidders card
Remember, once the auctioneers gavel has fallen you are committed to buy and the vendor is committed to sell.
It's exciting and pretty fast !

Get digging in the garage now and polish up your bits !
See you next Friday.

Just a final reminder that the auction is this Friday.  Alan and Mary will open up at 19:00 and they are asking for vollenteers to arrive early to lift the tables so I am on a mission to sort this or I might not get my tea.  There will be surplus items of old club kit in the auction so please turn up and make it work.  Remember, you are helping the club as well.  See you on Friday.

I am forever in your debt ( but not to the tune of £329!)
