Chasers 6 August
« on: August 03, 2017, 11:10:01 PM »
Andy is not around this week and it is proposed we also take in the National 25 during our club run.

I suggest we avoid going out with the Pacers but aim to meet them at McDonalds on the Cwmgwrach roundabout around 11.

Brackla - Bridgend - Laleston - A48 all the way out to the Margam roundabout - through Margam to Taibach - up the Afan Valley to Pontrhydyfen and across to Cimla and down into Neath - Tonna road out of Neath to Resolven - over the Resolven roundabout and up the old Neath Raod to McDonald's.

Quickest route home which is probably down the old Neath road to Neath, taking care on the Aberdulais roundabout and not getting in the way of any of the competitors, down as far as the Tesco roundabout and through Neath to Briton Ferry, Harbour Way, Pyle and home.

Will someone advise if they see any issues with us going over the Aberdulais roundabout on the way back.

Six of us out today
RB
Nick Langley
James Criddle
Richard Lewis
Chris Reed
Lee Stoneham

We followed the route as planned avoiding the Pacers as intended until we arrived at McDonald's punctually at 11. Coffee and burgers seemed to be the order of the day except for Nick who went for the full meal deal although it was just the regular and not the large. Good pace out and everyone seemed to enjoy the stretch of road from Neath through Tonna to Resolven.

From McDonald's Nick and Chris set off for the Rhigos and Bwlch. The rest of us took the direct quickest route home. Good pace home with lots of strong turns on the fron from James. Windy out there today and struggle to remember where we had a tail wind.

I'm away now for the next 3 weeks, see you in September.
