Today, saw 25 riders turn up for RR1.  Andy H , Tom and Logical were on an Amblers ride and Birdman and Harpo were also out (more on that later!). Conditions were as good as it gets for this time of year with average temperature and light winds.  The results and qualifiers were as follows;

John Edwards and Nathan Adams 2:16:55  (that's an average of 22.1mph !)
Mark Rosser 2:26:30  Q
Dave Walters 2:26:53 Q
Reece Adams and Nigel Williams 2:28:04 Q
Mike Hill 2:28:51 Q
Greg Brett  2:30:59 Q  (and current leader of the reliability competition)
Terry Anthony 2:41:32
Nick Langley, Tony Mansell, Mark Pope, Mike Barker, James Criddle ( hope that's correct), Richard Bowmer  all 2:42:48
Neil Bartlett and Chris Reed 2:43:45
Steve Hughes, Chris Goodwin  2:43:58
Andy Samuels 3:03:14  Q
Roy Holdham 3:23:13 Q
Paul Longthorn and Jonathan Spink 3:24:10 Q

Steve Curry DNS (puncture)  Leo King DNS (missing in action!).

It's a long wait until the club dinner for your certificates so my awards go to;

John and Nathan - for an amazing ride!
Terry Anthony - for best solo effort!
Andy (Stripy, Dodgy) Samuels and Neil Bartlett - best injury comebacks!
Harpo - for best recovery from a hangover (you sure you were on the pop last night?)

Really enjoyed it yesterday- struggled at the end though. If it wasn't for the puncture leaving the cafe i would've been in a better mood - lol

Thanks Steve for the time keeping

Sorry I couldn't complete, it seems a pre-ride service (I was quietly patting myself on the back for this clinical preperation  ;D) at a local and well known cycle shop, instilled some un-reliability into my bike, and unfortunately I had to call it a day after 16 miles, and took an early bath  >:(

Fingers crossed for the next one.........

Thanks all, and thanks Steve.
