Amblers Ride Sunday 4th December

I will not be out this Sunday, will someone take out the slower group, bread crumbs from last weeks ride should still be on the  route. Weather looks to be warming up slightly but ice patches could still spoil your Christmas so be careful, if in doubt stick to the TT.

Nice chilly morning. Had planned Margam-Maesteg-Bwlch-Nanty moel-home. But based on the frost on the roads round home we ended up riding the lowlands.  5 out today. Myself, Tom, Mike, Nick and Carrie. We left Brackla heading for Ewenny. Up post office Hill.  Down Lampha Hill.  Over to Llandow then on to Llanmihangel. Up the short slippery Treguff Hill.  Down to Penmark up Penmark Hill. Along the Barry to Llantwit road. Turned off by the Cenotaph to St Athan. Then on to Filco and Cafe Norley for coffee - apologies again for the mess. I left the group there at 36miles (as I was already home).


Good ride though. Some cheeky hills and a nice cobweb blast at 30+mph from the BAMC.

Sorry to Nick and Carrie-Mike and I did wait at St Brides but guessed you must have turned off-I'm interested to see how fast Mike will go once he's got something other than his hybrid to ride!Lidl was hell(as you would expect!)

Glad you enjoyed it. Mike is a very strong rider. Always suprises me how strong he is on a hybrid
