Holly Run 22nd December 2013
« on: December 21, 2013, 08:00:30 AM »
Tomorrow is the Holly Run. Traditionally this has been a ride in pursuit of holly. The aim was to find a worthy prize winning sprig. This was always won by the youngest club member. Given that our youngest club members usually is in there mid thirties on club runs, does not really have the same appeal as years gone by.

The Holly Run has not been run for a number of years but something I've been requested to run this year. The best connection I can find for holly if we don't stumble across some in a holly bush. Is the Bush Inn near Cowbridge.

So this year Holly Run will be a festive ride around the vale ending in the Bush Inn for a festive refreshment of your choice. Paid for out of your own pocket.

So today is your chance to customise your bikes with festive decorations. I'll  buy the best three decorated bikes a refreshment in the Bush Inn.

The Route,

Brackla-Bridgend-Ewenny-Ogmore by Sea-St Brides Major-Marcross-Llantwit Major-St Athan- Flemmingston-Llanblethian- A48- then Turn off before Loch Fyne then onto the Bush Inn.

All welcome see you at 9:30 Brackla
