Mid-week rides wk of 21/11-25/11
« on: November 21, 2016, 10:25:27 AM »
Hopefully it will stop raining sometime in the next 24 hours and if so I plan to be out tomorrow. We may need to go down Green Dragon lane to avoid the flooding in Llantrithyd. I know Mark plans to be out-any other takers?
I'm hoping to get out on Friday too.

If the weather is reasonably ok I'll be there but think flooding could be a problem in Craig penllyne as well

I'll be there Tom. The flooding in the lanes between Llangan and Aberthin is a problem as is the usual route via Llantrithyd. Still, the forecast is good tomorrow so I'm sure we can find a dry route that includes our usual  coffee and cake.

Mark,Mal,Chris M and I braved the floods this morning. In fact the worst place was in Troes a couple of minutes after we started. Those of us who appreciated that a full pedal rotation whilst passing through the water significantly increases your risk of a wet foot kept fairly dry(not all of us in that category).
There was considerable enthusiasm for a ride on Friday-watch this space!

Tom it was me who shouted at you in Brackla whilst you were riding head down a la Froome.

Sorry Chris-I come in for a lot of shouting so regard it as background noise!

Mal and I are planning to meet tomorrow at usual place(B&Q roundabout)at 9.45(after dog walking duties)-back by one. We will decide where to go tomorrow and surely include a coffee stop.Does that fit in for anyone else?(could meet en route-Aberthin?-if that helps)

Hi Tom, Nick & I would like to join you all tomorrow too, see you 9:45 but don't wait if we are not there by then.
NB : The tractors have been out hedge trimming in some of the lanes today. ( bottom of Craig Penllyn)
