Pacers club run 13th November - Tandem outing

Aberdare loop on the 13th November. Me and Keith will be bringing out the tandem.

Checked the times of remembrance sunday parades and road closures. We should be ok until Aberdare has the Cenotaph is in the town by the cafe stop. possible alternative coffee stop needed.

Dave, I see the boys 'stole your thunder' by doing the Aberdare route last week, how about heading out to Newport/Cardiff flats instead of repeating? One or two climbs but nothing the tandem hasn't done before.

We can stop in Hapus ice cream parlour in Machen, Costa in Caerphilly or if we come back via Radyr we could stop in Tongwynlais

Only thing is, Tongwynlais is at about 80kms, not sure I can go that long without cake!

A group of 14 Pacers out this morning, some strong riding from several people including Dave and Keith on the tandem. Too strong for me, after a 25mph+ blast along the flats, by the time the pace increased again, in the latter stages, thro' Church Village my legs were shot!
