7pm you know what to do. I'm away in the Lake District.
Probably another non mudguard week.

Well that turned out to be a bit of a shambles! Anyone up for 21mph, no surging, all stick together, nobody dropped and safe and steady into and out of the corners next week?

B group consisting of Nick, Carrie, Lee, myself and Teresa briefly, had a smooth 8 laps.
Marginally quicker than last week and 2 more laps.
Well done all!

last night was a shambles. I'll put my hand up for the bad call on one turn.

I would like to suggest the chaingang gets moved to Harbour way! or another suitable place

the current condition of the roads and road furniture (multiple road works and plates across the road) on the estate are getting worse not better. Which is causing a lot of shouting and confusion which I feel is going to lead to an accident.

I'll be giving it a miss on Tuesday just don't see the point of wrecking the bike over the crap surface or taking myself or others out over a bad judgement call etc. :(

Re B Group: many thanks Andy for all you advice & encouragement. I did 8 laps with team effort! Yeah!

Teresa: I'm more than happy to go out again (different day or eve) if you fancy some company.

Agree with Dave that all the road works and road furniture do make it difficult. At times wasn't sure whether the person at the front was peeling off or moving out to avoid the obstacles, all added to the confusion and constant change of pace.

Lots of chat about chain gang options - but just for completeness ...

The 'regular' group consisting of Harpo, Dave W, Nick, Reese, John E, Richard B, Greg, Terry A and I think 1 other as I'm sure there were 9 at the start. Anyway, a stark contrast to week 1's smooth ride with uneven pacing particularly out of the corners. Overall, the ride was not in keeping with the Winter chain gang objectives - it was faster than target and also we dropped one.

Good to see the Andy H group making progress.

I've added comments to the chain gang ride options thread about Harbour Way etc.
