Looks like the main event closed on a long '55'!  Lots of Club 59ers in the overflow.

Well that was an eventful morning!!

Warm-up and started all ok...then at the bottom of the big hill got a puncture!! Looking at a couple of hours to walk back so decided to try my hand at hitch hiking...very successful thanks to Brian and his van. Repaired said puncture and begged for a second start time, which the very graciously gave me...set off again and managed a PB :-) 55:37...what a relief!!

Hope everyone else got around ok :-)

Several good results there Neil.
PB
Puncture repair
Lift back
Getting another start. I remember one rider's race lasted 400yds before a mare of a mechanical. I gave her a lift back to her car and she swapped wheels and asked for another start and was promptly refused. She let a few words off at the start timekeeper and stopped when he suggested that the chances of her riding a S Wales DC event would be close to nil if she kept it up. It's always beneficial to be polite to those who keep our sport going.
