As Paul is away this Sunday does anyone fancy the route I've placed as an attachment. Cafe stop at Parc Slip nature reserve.

Shouldn't this and the Pacers ride be starting at 9.30 as we'll be in December tomorrow??

Yes good café Rob-nice view of the pond!Looks like it Bowen-normally now it's 9.30 in December and January to avoid people having to ride over in the dark

There's never a dull moment on an Amblers ride!9 of us managed to remember it was a 9.30 start this week and set off on Bowen's proposed ride.Good turnout considering several regulars including Paul,Andy S ,John and Carrie all had other things on.Jonathan confirmed he has booked for Mallorca and one or 2 others may well still do so.
I was going at about my worst(no excuses except 2 weeks of hedonism and no cycling!)when half way up the Bwllch I got a bit of dirt in my eye, blinked and my contact lens fell out.Unfortunately it was my better eye so I could only see clearly about 10 feet ahead. We were almost exactly half way so after some debate I carried on but now with a good excuse for my snails pace.Everyone was very solicitous and I obviously got back safely but will definitely make a spare set of lenses part of my cycling essentials in future.(I've never lost a lens like that in 40 years!)
I didn't join the others for a café stop so I hope everyone else got back ok and I didn't ruin the day for everyone else.
Thanks to Bowen for the route,to Terry for searching for the lens  and to everyone else for putting up with me!
