Hi
I am interested in joining the ovw's. Would it be okay to come along and see what is happening. I know you meet in the industrial estate but exactly where ?

Hi Reece

was it you I spoke to a few weekends ago across heolycyw common.
Chain gang is a bit of a baptism of fire but you look to be a strong rider so should be ok.
If you go along tonight choose one of the slower groups and see how you get on.
they meet in the car park opposite PCI on Western Avenue.

Enjoy
Shawn

Good advice from Shawn, can always move up next week, if group is too slow!

Thanks for advice. It was me that you saw on the common.

Hopefully will get there tonight as have put it off for a couple of weeks due to carten and Velothon. I'm sure slower group will be fine as a bit tired from bwlch and rhigos yesterday.

I can't get there in time for the event, don't finish work until 6:00 and can't get day off work. Sorry!

Paul Nicholas?

Two groups set off with some padding in group A who were discarded like wrapping paper in pass the parcel.  I lasted all of 300m!.  Group B worked more consistently with a sub 50 ride in difficult conditions.

47:49 today. Bit of a slog with a weird crosswind which made both sections of the course challenging, think we were a group of two by the fourth lap which took a bit more of an effort but all good fun. Had a word with Mark afterwards might try a change in tactic next week and ramp it up over the laps instead of going full gas from the off.

That would help me, it takes my engine a little while longer to warm up!   Not that I want to get rid of you but maybe you should be riding the Llandow Crits?

The plan was to ride at Llandow last night but I had a last minute change of plan. I think you're right though should probably get down there next week. I did a bit of Strava snooping and from what I can make out average speed wise we were quicker going around the industrial estate last night, although without the sharp changes in acceleration which would do me some good. If it's any conciliation I got my arse kicked in Newport this morning, dropped on the final lap finished 6 secs behind. We did do 10 miles in 20:50 though.
