25er's Sunday Ride May 15th 0900
« on: May 13, 2016, 07:16:32 AM »
Has summer finally arrived, so no weather excuses for this weeks trip into the unknown, for a change we will have a coffee stop, and a different route? There may be a hill involved there was the last time I did this route, nothing silly, the view will be worth it.

I don't know if summer's here, but I'm up for a ride on Sunday.  See you then.

Nice weather and  a different route which was also nice. Three for company today "breakaway" Neil, Steve H for his first ride or experience as we prefer to call it and Alan Van Impe. Alan just loved the hills which there were about 25. We ended up in Parc Slip for a cuppa, as with all new routes had to do a few diversions but we got there in the end. Met some riders on route who were practicing with saddle bags for a trip to the Pyrenees. One of the riders had a set of wheels built by Alan Marks a while ago!! "being polite for once", so he may come up to club one night and bring the wheels All in all  nice morning out.

Ile De Re to Taormina is about a thousand miles and entails crossing the Alps. What would you class as a hilly ride Ron?

Long story Tom, good news though I may have a day off Tuesday next week. Have you got that bike dirty yet, I will have an inspection at the Velo next week. PS Alan is off to Taormina, flying, less bike. Ile de Re is the only flat place I've cycled.
