Rides over bank holiday weekend
« on: April 28, 2016, 10:47:08 PM »
Hi all,

I called in last Friday but you were all busy getting ready for the competition ride. Are they any rides planned for this bank holiday weekend that I could tag on to?

There will be the usual club runs from Brackla at 9:00 Sunday.
Unfortunately I can't make it, I've entered a time trial that day.
I'm planning 3 hours on the tandem on Monday morning, I'll post time and provisional route, when I've spoken to Keith. You'd be welcome to join us, always glad of company.

Plan is to leave Ewenny at 9:00, ride for 3 hours in the rain and arrive back as the sun comes out. If anybody fancies joining us feel free. Garden centre on the corner at 9:00ish

You make it sound very appealing Andy but I think I'll wait for the rain to stop

By talking it up, I'm hoping the reality won't be quite so bad.

Steady couple of hours, tandem and Andy Samuels. Margam, Broomwagon cafe stop, and return with quick loop to Pencoed and back, just as the wind and rain arrived

ps The Broomwagon KOM remains intact despite the cunning plan and lead out from Tandem Renshaw and the valiant but ultimately failed attempt by Mr DKnees Cavendish
Next time boys, next time, and get the power on earlier!
