Riders wishing to attend club 10M TT
« on: April 19, 2016, 07:12:24 PM »
Hello all,

I will be taking a group of 10 Army riders on a week of cycle training out of Brecon for the week of may 2nd - 6th. They are mixed age and experience group and I was hoping to introduce them to the world of TT. Would it be possible to bring them to the club TT on that thursday (5th May). I don't want to Hi jack the club event but if possible would like to show outside of crits etc what else is available. They would of course be all paying into the clubs coffers also!!!

Anybody wishing to ride with us that week (less the friday as we have the velodrome booked is more than welcome).

Si B.

I'm sure we can accommodate them, I'll chat with Norman and Steven Friday night. Although they will probably see your post anyway.

Good news.

All the mid week club TT's are 'Come and Try It' events

A "Come and Try It" Event is a means of enabling newcomers to try time trials without some of the usual restrictions that apply e.g. newcomers do not have to be members of an affiliated club, they can ride in any type of clothing etc.

They will still have to pay to enter though  ::)

If you have 6 minutes to spare you might want to watch the video on the link below.

As replied by Teresa and Andy, all are welcome to our Club "10's".   We assemble on the B.4265,St.Brides Major to Llantwit Major road approximately 1 mile east of St.Brides, at the lay-by.  All competitors need to Sign-on before 18.45 hours, and the event will start at 19.01 hrs.  All competitors will be sent off at 1 minute intervals.  There is a charge of £2.00 per rider (C.T.T.levy for 3rd.party Insurance cover).   The course is from the Lay-by going east to the roundabout at Llantwit Major, circle the roundabout, and return to Finish opposite the Start.   I look forward to meeting you on the 5th.May.
Norman James, Competitions Secretary.
