Track Session 21 30/03/2016
« on: March 31, 2016, 10:05:05 PM »
Smaller group this week, Double whammy of race season and Easter holidays I guess. Started doing a bit of strength/endurance training this week and my cold has more or less cleared up so the larger gear on the bike was less noticeable. Good warm up again this week, had a good sweat when we were waiting to do 500m. 34.8 for the 500m not great. 96 laps for the group TT this week which a few people are enjoying more than the standard 64 laps, I don't mind either way but my ass has a different opinion! Felt pretty good on this for the most part and pushed on as much as I could started off taking 4 laps every turn and cranking it up on every lap. 33.34 for 96 laps which is a little slow but as there is racing on the weekends now I think a lot of people are holding back a bit. Decided to smash it on the warm down, which was a lot of fun riding the black line to catch the fast group, after a bit I cycled off the front past the slower group riding on the blue line and took a couple of laps on my own. Takes a surprising amount of effort overtaking above the blue line but it's good fun moving around traffic on the track.

Not sure what time it starts Rich, I'll let you know when I've had chance to check. I reckon it would be after work jobbie.
