Cheeky of me to suggest, as I may not be out, but what about this:

Has alternative coffee stops at Caffe Nero in Cowbridge, or Cafe Velo; but best of all it presents the traditional pacer run opportunity to discuss during the ride who's up for diverting via Penycoedcae between Pony and Llantrisant instead of the Uni Glam drag - 90% of the time it's Uni Glam, but 10% of the time.....

Could attract the climbers.
