Mid-Week wk of 21/9
« on: September 21, 2015, 12:46:30 PM »
Unlikely as it may seem the weather forecast for tomorrow isn't wholly awful. If it isn't raining I plan to be at B&Q/Starbucks at the usual time of 9.45.I believe Mark P plans to be out-not sure about Carrie as she is midway between 2 epic Sportifs and may be recuperating!
I also hope to get out on Friday.
Post here if poss if you're able to get out either day!

4 of us out this morning,Mark P,Mal,Terry and me.Unfortunately we had a bit of a pile-up-fortunately for the others I seemed to come off worst!I limped home from Aberthin escorted by Mal-sorry you had to curtail your ride Mal.An hour in a radox bath and a couple of ibuprophen and I'm feeling a lot better but have just discovered I've dripped blood all over my PC!!Hope the others enjoyed the ride afterwards.I may be off the bike for a few days but will be out again as soon as I can grip the bars!

Glad you're OK Tom. That Tesco delivery van was definitely operating in silent mode. I only missed him by inches myself as we came around the corner. It's a dangerous bend at the best of times. Enjoy Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young tonight. I must admit I thought some of the band had died of old age years ago!!

Ha!Thanks Mark-I think there have been a few liver transplants and other similar health scares but they're still standing!
On the topic of surviving I meant to say that whilst I know within the club and within cycling it's a contentious topic this was another occasion when I was glad I was wearing a helmet. The clunk of it hitting the tarmac will stick in my mind!
Just in case anyone's wondering I would have avoided the van if Mal had managed to avoid me!(not his fault I stress, just one of those things!)
