First time I have seen Tim's name on a start sheet this year - Go Tim

Winner(Main Event)  No.70 Alexander Royle,Army Cycling Union 19mins.05secs.
                                 No.45 Bowen Mason,Ogmore Valley Whs.   23mins.43secs.(VTTA Std.+3mins.55Secs)
                                 No.29 Tim Raine, Ogmore Valley Wheelers, 27mins.31secs.(VTTA Std.+1min.21secs)
                                 No.18 Norman James, Ogmore Valley Whs. 30mins.11secs.(VTTA Std.+0mins.12secs)

It was a warm, sunny day with a south westerly light wind,i.e.headwind out and a less helpful tailwind back. It was nice and warm with light traffic.  Bowen's was a good ride on the day,as was Tim's only "Open" event this season, but mine less so!
This was the last "Open" 10mile T.T. of the season in South Wales.

Well done No. Excellent time and great plus. Is this your seasons best or a pb ?

I think Norman, you said you had not had a plus this year ? I thought you would be pleased with this !

As for me it is my first and last Open TT and therefore my seasons best. I hope this now qualifies me for some kind of prize at the Annual Dinner. It's always nice to take something away. I hope I can keep my interest into next season too.

On a sad note Ken Squibb aged 79 rode his track fixie today, his penultimate TT before he hangs up his wheels at the end of his season. He and his family have had some health issues recently. He says he will not be back ! I have wished him well but he says he may still be found on Wednesdays at Hannah's Cafe Stalling Down at around 11.30 am most weeks. The old codgers group. I can see me joining it soon !
