As there are no hills perhaps we can persuade some of the faster amblers to ride with us.

Great route Andy. How about we all ride this Club run. After a few miles those "faster Amblers" will be drawn out, and everyone always have the safety net of dropping back and finding a more comfortable group if they start to suffer. Sounds like a good way to experience what The Pacers rides are about. Plus there are plenty of peel off points if anyone needs to get home early.

Andy - you are wasted...in whatever it is you do! I was of course hoping that the centre of the propella (may have spelt wrong) would be a mountain summit, but I can't fault the artwork and vision.

Thanks for the run today lads - really good to have such a big group out together (although it did present logistical problems for Cafe Velo). I think it worked well that the ride split when it did. I waited at Porthcawl for the back group, but I chatted to Paul, and we had they impression they were happy to take a shortened route to the coffee stop - and I then enjoyed my solo chase back to the front  :D.

Dave Bees did suggest that we stagger our arrival at the Cafe in future - which will probably happen naturally on most rides - he was really apologetic about how long we waited, but I said we all understood. I'm certainly really keen to support such a bike oriented Cafe (especially as it does good coffee).

Noticed as I was riding behind today that Mark Hope (I think that's your name - your spoke broke) looked smooth an strong, but that your saddle was quite low. If you tried raising it 2 - 3 inches so your legs were almost straight on the downstroke, you'd probably find you were a bit faster and more efficient. You may have tried it and not liked it, in which case disregard  ;)

I didn't even realise you were out Allan-sorry not to say hello-so many today! It's Pope but I'm sure he'll get the message!
Nice ride today-best bit was chasing down leading group-waiting for stragglers, repeat ad nauseum(not(quite)literally!)

Good day- thanks to all for your company(even if I didn't realise I had it!

Yes good ride today. I counted 22 sorry don't want to name fear of missing someone out. I think you may have some new recruits for the Pacers Andy. After the groups had settled down, the Amblers took a few tactical short cuts to get to the Cafe Velo as one group.

I  know some where concerned about Mark Pope as he had a snapped spoke. I received a text from him telling me he got back ok.

52 miles for me. Same time next week.

Great ride today despite the broken spoke. Fantastic turnout and nice to ride with the Pacers for a change. I still managed to bag 47 miles despite limping home the short way from Cafe Velo with the broken back wheel spoke. I appreciated the texts and calls to check that I had got back OK, good Oggie team work. Oh and thanks to Wardhaugh for the comments about my saddle height, I'll raise the saddle height and see how it goes. If I come flying past you all next week you'll know why!

If your legs split and blood goes everywhere, you've raised the saddle a little too far!
