So, not a great start to the morning for the 25ers or Chasers with very low numbers (with a potential new member there this morning) and unfortunately no routes posted on the forum.... but a great turn out for the pacers.
We set off en masse on the advertised route where a group of 10 riders formed;
Jason T,
Harpo,
Steve C,
Nige,
Reece,
James,
Lee,
Richard,
Carl,
Paul (a friend of Reece)
We set a pretty good pace from the get go and formed a pace line heading out over harbour way, we worked much better than last week but need to look at sorting the surges out when coming to the front, if we can keep this going then we should start working very well together.
The usual lumps out to the gower (Sketty and Morriston) gave the legs a bit of a workout before hitting gowerton, the pace was pretty good here even over the undulating roads but this started to take its toll especially on the last kickers up to Rhossili where we had a cracking view while enjoying our refreshments.
We set off for black pill where the last of the undulating roads cycled at the pacers pace started to slow one or two riders down, really well done to Richard for lasting and sticking in there, hopefully you can still feel your legs

The group then started to split up around fabian way, I believe Lee and Richard were going to ease off the pace and head back together but Nige and James helped them back, well, that's what I hope. There appeared to be 50 or so horse drawn carts heading down fabian way holding up traffic, hopefully they weren't gypsies and bonked the boys over the head and have them for slave labour.
We then headed back to Bridgend as a group which saw Reece, Carl and Paul peel off with Harpo and Steve giving a tow (thanks) out to Pencoed where I could feel the energy rapidly draining from my legs... with the bonk starting to hit me as I approached bryncae my emergency gel helped me limp home.
Some big turns on the front today especially from Steve, hopefully everyone made it back Ok.
