The plan is to get the next order in for the winter for club kit in early September.
I've requested the 2014-15 price list from Decca but have yet to receive it. The last price list is on the Club Website. The minimum order quantity per item is 5. This was waived for the last order as I was not notified of this stipulation in advance. As you will see there is a significant difference in price between 5 items and 10 items. Please also note that the prices quoted excludes VAT. I would hope that there is little movement in price from last year's price list.
Typically at this time of year people are ordering long sleeve jerseys, bib tights and winter coats. Again, if we can order decent volumes then there will be a better price for all. We will also order for stock. There are still a small number of items available from the last order being short sleeve jerseys and bib shorts. As usual these can be collected from the Club on a Friday night.

Roy, I'm not aware of us ordering from the pro range. Certainly the last two orders have just been from the elite range.

There wont be any long sleeved jerseys from the last order Lance, not sure what is still in stock from previous orders. The sizing is oonsistent, so you would have the same sized long sleeve as for a short sleeve. There may well be a medium and a large in the short sleeve up ther that you could try on for size. The long sleeve jersey is a great bit of kit with a light roubaix lining so warmer than the short sleeve. I can bring a medium long sleeve up with me this Friday if that helps. I obviously have no idea what size you are. You could also talk to othes as to what size they take.

John, by winter waterproof jacket do you mean the rain coat? The sample that we had from Decca last time round. I'm pretty sure there is a medium and large left in stock. I'll check on Friday for you.

It would be helpful if we could up the numbers. The minimum order requirement on any item is 5 and there is a significant cost reduction if we can raise the order quantity on any item to 10. For the more common ordered items we can increase the numbers by ordering into stock.
I'd like to get the order finalised by a week today please so can you advise requirements over the next week.

I had included a gillet within in my order - didn't realise there were some in stock. I put myself down for a size L but had a bit of a coin toss between M & L; I will come to the club next Friday and if both sizes are still there then I can choose.

Hi All, I've now had the 2014-15 prices from Decca. I'e forwarded them on to Teresa to publish on the web site, I'm sure Teresa will let us know when this is done.
At first sight, and only on my phone, they look better than last time. For example the Long Sleeve jacket (winter jacket) is £94 plus VAT for 5+ and £79 for 10+. Compare with £109 and £90 respectively last time round.

Thanks Tom that would be helpful. The prices are generally down on last time especially on the shorts,3/4s and tights. And also on the long sleeve jerseys. So I'm thinking now would be a good time to stock up.

I think we should be able to order the majority of items as requested. The only item at risk is the gilet where there is only need for one for the moment. For the other items we should be able to get the order up to 5 or 10 and take some items into stock.

Hi Richard, sorry but when I looked again at the gilet I brought home I found I had the XL size. Not sure how but guess I just picked up the wrong one after trying them on. Anyway, hopefully I can swop for the L next Friday - assuming that it is still there. Obviously, the one I brought home is unused and all neatly folded back in it's bag.
Looks like I know how to take a simple task and make it more complicated .... sigh.

We are now in the process of finalising the winter kit order. We will be ordering to meet individual requirements in full as well as taking kit into stock.
It is important that everyone is made aware of the pricing and understands the pricing and is able to tie it back to the price list that was published to the web site. If you have any queries with this just ask.
The prices are inclusive of VAT.
The folowing items will be ordered at the 10+ items for pricing:

The winter kit order has been placed with Decca today. We have been able to increase the number of gillets that we are ordering and this reudces the price for this item from £59 as previously advised to £49.
I have asked Decca to advise delivery date and I'll share this with you as soon as I have a response from them.

Hi All, I chased the contact in Bottlesport last week, Bottlesport are the UK distributor. I was promised an update from the factory by the end of last week and am still waiting. Will chase up now.

Hi All, chased again yesterday. Our kit order will be completed by the factory this Friday, there have been "production delays". It will then be shipped to the UK and should be with the UK didributor by Tuesday. I will then make arrangements for it to come to me. Further update early next week.

There is bad news with the kit order. The reason that it is much delayed is because it has been lost. It left the factory and made it to the UK but did not find its way to the UK distributor. Despite extensive investigation by the courier, UPS, it has not been found.
The order was for the winter and should really have been with us early November but there was also delay in the factory. I would expect another 5-6 week turnaround if we stay with the original order. By which time a number of the winter months would have passed. For this reason it is only fair to give everyone he opportunity to review what they originally order and amend accordingly. Given the timing it also makes sense to place a single combined order for the winter and spring.
Can everyone please advise requirements by the middle of next week, by Wednesday 17 December and I'll look to place a revised order by the end of next week being Friday 19 December. We will of course order into stock as well as for individual requirements.
Can you please share this message with all fellow members as quickly as possible. Not everyone may be regularly looking at the message board.

It's hard enough to manage the kit order without this setback! I agree it's better to place one full order as most clubs will place an order in the New Year, adding more of a delay to the lead time...

I'm also wondering about a skinsuit - I might be the only one ordering but considering the recent delivery performance of Decca it seems sensible to get one now for next year; not sure if that equals a silly price or even possible if I'm the only one. Any views ?

Hi Terry there is a minimum order quantity of 5 for any item. So unlikely to be able to order this sorry unless there is other interest.

I would like to be able to finalise our requirements for the replacement order by the end of the week.
The original order included kit for stock and kit from individual requests, there were 15 individual requests. I asked for confirmation from those that had made those individual requests as to whether or not they still had the same requirements. To date I have yet to hear back from 8 people. This is holding me up in finalising the replacement order, could you advise what you would like by Friday please.
As stated this will be a replacement order and will be a combined winter and spring order. In this way we can add to what we originally intended ordering and are not limited to what you may have requested previously.

Some good news on the kit order for a change. I chased up a discount due to the delays and loss of the kit and they've come back with 15%! Result.
The branding of the kit will change from Decca to Kassei, it is exactly the same kit from the same factory it will just have a different name on it.
I followed up Terry's request for a one-off skin suit and they have confirmed that they will supply. So if anyone else wants one please let me know quickly.
I know a number of or members do triathlon so I has asked whether they would supply tri suits in club colours. They have a new partner which means this is something they will now be able to do. Again, if anyone is interested could you let me know please. I'm not sure how quickly this would be available and be assured I wouldn't do anything that would hold up the main order further.

Latest update:
I think the kit order has been completed. The UK distributor is in Belgium this week and I'm hoping he is going to bring it back with him. I'm on leave the start of next week and have asked for the order to be delivered to my home address at that time. If that goes to plan I can then sort the kit and mark it up for collection and will take to the club night on 27 February. Sorry for the delay, I have been on the case chasing.
As soon as I have confirmation of the delivery I will update further.

By tour do you mean the Majorca trip?
The kit order sill isn't in despite lots of chasing. I'm hoping to have an update on Monday. It is proving very frustrating.
We have ordered items for stock and I'll hold the jersey and shorts for you in a medium.

However some thoughts with regard to said top labelled Medium
Either:
1.I am fat
2.Andy H is skinny
3.Jen shrank it in the wash
4.Italian kit manufacturers know nothing about the size of Welshmen
or
5.all of the above apply

LATEST UPDATE
I'm hopeful of delivery by next Wednesday. I'm just waiting for the tracking number for the delivery. Delivery is going to come to me directly to me as opposed to going to the UK Distributor, Kassei, first.
The delay has been caused by the original kit supplier, Decca, being taken over by Bio-Racer and a difficult transition.
As soon as I take the delivery I will update further. I will sort the kit immediately and mark it up ready for distributing. So the kit should be ready for collection before the Majorca trip, just. Kit is only usually available on the Friday night club night but I'll speak with senior members of the club later to see if we can make some other arrangements to make it as easy as possible for those who are going to Majorca to have their kit ready for this trip.

It is not looking good. I've been promised a tracking number for the delivery but still haven't received it, so at this point I'm assuming the order still hasn't left the factory - this is very disappointing. I've been chasing again this week and left a voice message this morning. I'll follow up again in the morning.

I've had confirmation from the UK distributor that our order has not yet been dispatched from the factory. Without prompting he has advised he will be pursuing further compensation. But I guess that is little solace for those who were relying on the order for new kit for the Mallorca trip. I think my contact is also feeling extremely frustrated with the situation and is driving to Belgium on Monday to try to resolve. Ours is just one of a number of orders he is chasing.
For all those going to Mallorca I hope you all have a great time.

I'm really struggling to understand why we haven't got the kit yet. I was given UPS tracking numbers at the start of the week and was expecting delivery today. But it has not happened. I've just been told the order was not collected by UPS from the factory and they will be issuing new tracking numbers for collection possibly tomorrow. Extremely frustrating for all I know. I wish I'd been in Harelbeke today to see Geraint Thomas win and could have picked the kit up and delivered it myself.

Some good news at last, the Club Kit order has finally been received, I picked it up on Friday.
I have now finished checking through the kit, all 79 items, and it will be reasy for collection at this coming Friday's Club night.
A few things to note;
Decca have been taken over by Bio-racer so it is branded Bio-racer and it is my understanding this the clothing comes from their clothing range - so there are some difference between this kit and the previous kit from Decca.
I think the kit is good quality - Bio-racer manufacture the kit for a number of the professional teams.
Some of the clothing is different and I have brought this to the attention of the UK distributor, Kassei. But My view is that this is something that we will just need to accept as the clothing now comes from a different clothing range. The long sleeve jerseys are plain in that they no longer have the Roubaix lining. The gilets are a wind protector body with a "perforated" back and no rear pocket. The winter jacket is now a much better cut - in my view - and has the traditional 3 pockets at the rear.
I also think there is more consistency in the sizing. My current short and long sleeve jerseys, bib shorts and bib tights are all medium. My jacket is also medium but is too big for me and my medium gilet also comes up slightly large. The new jacket and gilet in a medium are now a perfect fit for me and as I stated above I think the cut of the jacket is improved.
I think it was worth sharing this with you and hope you will all be happy with your new kit when you collect it from next Friday.

No sorry I didn't Richard, working shifts I overslept and missed last Friday's meeting. I will definitely call in this Friday (May 22nd) and hopefully pick up a jersey.
