Amblers Sunday Club Run 6th October 2013

Here is Sunday's Club Run,

Brackla - Coychurch - Penceod - Llanharen - Pontycllun - Miskin - Groes Faen - St Fagans - Peterson-Super-Ely - A48 make our way through the lanes towards St Athan - Llantwit Major - A cafe stop at the new Cafe Velo. Then head back Via Atlantic College, Wick, St Brides Major and Ewenny. Sunday looks overcast but dry.

Should be around 40 Miles all Welcome see you at 9:00am

Good run out we stuck to the planned route. The pace was faster this week thanks to the two Keith's powering away.

Very good cafe stop at the Velo Cafe. Nice secure area around the back to park your bikes sky sports WIFI and cycling magazines dotted around the place, this could be a regular stop, and good coffee.

44 miles Brackla to Brackla approx.

Same time next week. I'm planning on getting out Tuesday day if anyone is interested, I'll post tomorrow with more details.

Thanks for the welcome with the tandem today. Our plan, or concern was that we would drop off the back when it came to the hilly bits so we thought we would get in front and then drop back as riders passed us on the climb.
Certainly looked as if there was a lot of riders riding well within their comfort zone.
Great to see so many riders out though and as far as I'm concerned whether it be a mountain bike, tandem or road bike, it's all about getting out.
Why not give Keith a call for a ride?

Biggest turnout I have seen at Brackla. And a tandem too! Never been to the cafe but I should as it sounds a bit like my ideal home!
