Andy cannot make the 19th but we will still get the rollers out that night and anyone could bring a turbo along too if they prefer that sort of environment to do their indoor training in.

BUT

FRIDAY 12TH DECEMBER is now the date when Andy Harries, Club Captain and Coach will now run the main training session before Christmas. If you want help, practice on the rollers, need to look at your bike fit set up or simply want to have a session with others with music and some structure then come along at 8.00 pm with your turbo/rollers and suitable kit for a session of about 30-40 minutes starting about 8.30pm

Andy has a spare turbo and there will be 3 sets of rollers there, with tuition if you want to have a go.

Remember, there is a Roller Competition in mid- February for all club members to have a go at. It is on a knockout basis. Each round is to compete with another Oggie over a distance of 1 kilometer using a restricted gear (80 inches), so you need to be able to spin those pedals and stay on. A bit of practice is always good !

Andy will also advise on turbo programmes to keep you going over the winter so you hit Spring ready to have a good season in 2015, doing whatever takes your interest.

Cheers

Tim

I have a session in mind that is a mere 34 minutes long, so perfect for the planned evening and allow some time for people to do the session and still have a practice on the rollers.

I'll bring along 2 turbos so even if you don't have your own, come along on the 12th and join in the fun/suffering!

Just a reminder about tomorrow night, 'shortish' session but don't let that lull you into a false sense of security, you can still make it very hard!!

I'll bring along two turbos so anybody who wants to give it a go but doesn't have one can come along and join in the fun.

I will be there but may only do part as I am recovering from man-flue. I will be digging out the Competition Rollers. Richard said he wanted to try it, as have a few others so  we can do that either after the 34 minutes if Richard and co want to do that first, or while it is going on.

You suggested we start the Turbo session at 8.15. That will be great because Allan and Mary usually open up at about 7.45. I will be there then myself to help set up.

Anyone wanting to try the rollers only needs their road bike and bike shoes. Simple isn't it !

See you there.
